Continent Worldwide Hotels continues to expand in the Middle East, Turkey, and Asia...

After establishing its regional office in Lebanon last year to promote Turkish brands in the Middle East and Gulf regions, Continent Worldwide Hotels has been actively securing new agreements and expanding its hotel portfolio through franchise and management deals. In just six months, the group has commenced operations in Riyadh, Uqayr, and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia with Continent Al Waha Hotel, Continent Al Ertiqaa Hotel, and Continent Al Uqayr Hotel. They have also signed new agreements in Saudi Arabia, Beirut, and the United Arab Emirates.

As part of these agreements, a mixed-use project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, featuring 80 rooms, office floors, and hospital services, will be inaugurated in July 2023 as Continent Hotel Dammam. Additionally, Continent Al Madina Hotel with 216 rooms in Medina and Continent Luxury Suites & Hotel Madina with 186 rooms and suites are set to open this year.

In Beirut and the United Arab Emirates, Continent Worldwide Hotels has finalized two hotel branding agreements. Continent Resort & Challets in Beirut with 40 units and Continent Hotel & Residences in Dubai Marina will be launched. Continent Hotel & Residences, featuring 90 rooms and residence apartments, has already commenced its services in 2023.

Apart from the confirmed opening of five new hotels in 2023, discussions are underway for four more hotels. AncyrA Hotels & Inns will expand to Georgia with a recently signed management agreement. The 80-room hotel in Bakuriani will be named AncyrA Hotel Bakuriani and is expected to start operations soon. It will be the first Turkish-branded hotel in the region, which is renowned for winter tourism and ski resorts. According to officials, projects in Tbilisi and Batumi are also being considered.

In Turkey, besides the existing hotels in Mersin, Erdemli, Sakarya, and Kahramanmaraş under the Continent Hotels & Resorts and Swiss Inn by Continent brands, discussions are ongoing for new investments. The group aims to reach a total of 10 hotels in Turkey by 2025. They have announced that JOMO Hotel by Continent Mersin, scheduled to officially open in mid-July, will be the first member of the group in the boutique and new-generation accommodation segment.
